Lyft is apparently interested in selling it's business, and they recently hired Qatalyst partners. Qatalyst partners is recognized for helping tech companies get acquired, and this may be the reason why Lyft is working with them. Speculation has come up that Lyft may be looking to get bought out by a large auto maker. GM made a huge commitment of $500 million in Lyft during their last round of funding and could easily be a suitor. It's still unclear whether Lyft will continue to pursue funding with another round or look to get bought out in the near future.

I hope Lyft doesn't sell, I really appreciate their friendly business model. It's been a much better experience driving with Lyft than other rideshare companies.

Lyft should get acquired. Uber is crushing them in a lot of ways. I'm a fan of Lyft, but they need to change some things in their business model to be sustainable
