I am a casual driver and am not sitting in my car waiting for a beep. I might be sitting at home reading the paper. I have missed at least a half dozen rides because I didn't hear or see the ride alert pop up. It needs to be more apparent when the alarm goes off, maybe a selectable sound where I can choose something more earthshattering.
