Just the other day i picked a guy up from LAX, he didn't enter a destination until he got in the car. Turns out he wanted a ride all the way to San Diego. Would have been a big payout, but I didn't want to end up that far south on a Thursday night. So I told him I couldn't do it, he should've just caught a flight to San Diego in the first place!!

I try to avoid rides that are longer than 20 miles. Yea, you get a good payout on a long ride. But then you end up driving around for a while looking for the next passenger. I try to stay close to the hot spots if I can, just my preference.

I drove a guy from Seattle to Tacoma once, it took about 45 minutes. I wouldn't say I regret it because it was primetime so I got a huge payout. And I was also able to find a passenger in Tacoma to make the drive back useful. I wouldn't want to drive much further than that.
