Lyft has been in a heated legal battle with Uber over corporate hacking and spying. The legal battle originated when Lyft's former COO, Travis VanderZanden, left the company to work for Uber. Allegations were raised that VanderZanden broke Lyft's confidentiality agreement after leaving for Uber. The legal battle was scheduled to go to court in August, but ended in a settlement where neither company was required to pay any money.

Lyft deserved to get some money out of this, Uber rips them off all of the time! I don't understand why they settled instead of taking this to court!

Sarah, I agree with you. Lyft has been a great company to work for but sometimes I feel like they have less business savvy than Uber. I'd like to see them get a win against Uber for once. It's pretty clear that Lyft has been the first to many innovations that end up at both companies.
