Anybody leave their 9-5 to drive with Lyft or Uber. I've heard of people doing it. Curious as to how it's going for those of you who've taken the leap. Are you now a full time driver or do you balance driving with a new job/ entrepreneurial ambitions?

I didn't quit my full time job I got laid off. Lyft has been awesome for me in this downtime. I drive 20 to 30 hours a week to pay the bills and spend the other hours networking and interviewing. I've even been able to do some networking while driving - got an interview out of it!

I quit my job 2 and a half years ago to drive for Uber and Lyft. At first I did pretty well, but rate cuts hurt pretty bad. I'm now employed full time again in software, and I wouldn't go back to full time with Lyft or Uber.
