Lyft recently uncapped surge pricing, it's now a function of supply and demand. This is awesome and it puts Lyft on a level playing field with Uber in that respect. I've personally noticed it pay off a few time, I've had a few rides with over 300% surge rates and it's been a huge payout. I don't really target surge pricing, but if I happen to hit it I love the benefits.
Anyone have strategies for taking advantage of surge pricing? Are you making more money or just spending more time and money driving to the surge locations in hopes of getting the higher payout?

The only thing I do to try and hit surge pricing is drive during busy hours in a good general location. I used to bounce around trying to catch the best surges, that's a fools game. Now I just focus on the general things I can control and take what I get out of surge pricing. Huge fan of the uncapping btw.
