Suzy Deering is the new global director of marketing at Ford , a company she will join early next year. The next CMO of the automobile manufacturer , 51, will succeed Joy Falotica in the position. Deering's appointment is unusual in the automotive industry , where people outside of this sector rarely reach relevant positions. Deering has very little experience in the automotive industry, but is equipped with very deep know-how on a technological level. His professional profile clearly shows where Ford wants to direct its steps in the future, which wants to become more customer-oriented and enter the fray with brands like Tesla, Uber and Lyft. Ford's new global CMO has worked for more than five years as eBay 's head of marketing , a position she left at the beginning of last September. Beyond eBay, Deering has been professionally involved with the Phone Number List Moxie advertising agency and the marketing departments of Home Depot and Verizon. Suzy Deering will take over from Joy Falotico Joy Falotico, Deering's predecessor, will now be able to focus on her role as president of Lincoln Motor Company after three years leading Ford's marketing department. In his new role, Deering will be tasked with modernizing Ford's marketing and brand strategy and fostering young talent within the company. Deering will simultaneously be CMO of Ford on a global scale and also in North America , where the company concentrates approximately 70% of its sales. Ford's new marketing director will report to Kumar Galhotra , head of Ford Americas and International Markets Group. « Technology will be a very important part of Ford's transformation . “My team will address the customer's needs from start to finish, using data to examine what the customer needs to gain their trust,” says Deering.
